   How on earth do you embed a flickr slideshow or pictobuilder without it disappearing when trying to publish it?

   The blog I need help with is virginiaaflcio.wordpress.com.

   You can't, directly. In order to embed unsupported formats, you have to use the Vodpod button available from http://vodpod.com

   Thank you, raincoaster. I would have never figured that out on my own, I'd still be battling with it for several more hours.

   There's a new plugin called Slickr Flickr that will do what you want I think.

   @marltutkski plugins only work for wordpress.org Not applicable here on wordpress.com

   You could try using Vodpod to embed the Flickr Slideshow :

   http://vodpod.com/wordpress/
