embedding youtube

    I am Carlos (machimon.wordpress.com). I’m trying to embed a youtube video. I see there are two ways:
    1. video embedder (1.7.1). I downloaded it, created folder in C:/wp-content/plugins/video-embedder but can’t find WordPress Plugin page to activate it.
    2. I also see "Press This" and have copied the highlighted code into the URL field of the shortcut bar. I go to the url where the video is and click on the new shortcut to capture the video element but just get javascript code when I paste to my blog.

    The blog I need help with is machimon.wordpress.com.

    1 does not work for WordPress.COM blogs. It only works fro WordPress.ORG blogs.

    2 Same.

    Here are the instructions for putting a YouTube into a WP.com blog. Note that WP.COM has security restrictions which mean some code is stripped out here. Consult the Support documents if you have trouble; often, there is a shortcode.
