embeding livestream

  1. im trying to embed a livestream channel onto my blog how do i do it and is it posible

The blog I need help with is thisldbeta.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm sorry but that can't be done on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It would require flash and javascript, and those are not allowed here due to security concerns: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    We cam embed these:
    Blip.tv
    DailyMotion
    Flickr Video
    Google Video
    LiveVideo
    TED Talks
    Viddler
    Videolog
    Vimeo
    Vodpod
    YouTube

You can embed a Livestream video if you click Share/Embed, click for the old embed code, and turn it into a gigya shortcode. If you link to the page with the video you want, or paste the code here between backticks, we can show you how to.

Thank you for that correction. I have bookmarked this thread.

  5. Yes, all the livestream sites have switched to iframe embeds as the default, and there's no way to do those, but there's usually a link well hidden to Old Embed Code and that one can go into a Gigya Shortcode OR be put in a Vodpod account.
