Emptying blog of content/resetting theme - header image

  1. I am trying to reset the header image on my 'Koi' themed blog. However, despite my best attempts, including ftp and the like, so I figured I have one of two options. I can either remove all content from the blog, then repost it, hoping the saved settings for the 'Koi' theme vanish, or I can hope that a "Happiness Engineer" will potentially set it right with their technical know-how, which most likely is far greater than mine. My attempts to replace the old header image have ended badly, as the header image stretches vertically, and the menu bar does not overlay. Furthermore, the image itself turned into a link, which I don't want. I can not edit the css or the code, despite my best attempts to figure out how. The 'empty my blog of all content' option under 'delete blog' recommends I contact support, which is why I'm here now.

    So, if either the blog's content (but not the domain itself, I rather like the name) could be deleted or the header be fixed back to the default for the Koi theme, I would appreciate it.

  2. Do not delete anything! There has been an issue with the Koi theme that I thought Themes Staff had fixed. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/why-is-my-custom-background-suddenly-mixing-with-the-default-background?replies=11#post-997496 I have flagged this thread for their attention.

  3. Ah, I see. Alright, thanks for the help! I really just want the default header image back as the overlay, just like a 'fresh out of box' koi theme. =/

  4. I'm sorry to post twice in a row, but I would really appreciate some additional advice or guidance or aid in this matter. I was told to wait, so I did, but after a month, I can't help but feel that perhaps my request has been hidden underneath a pile of other complaints and requests. I'm trying to be patient, but I would really appreciate a response in regards to this.

  6. Hi there! We're very sorry for the delayed response.

    It looks like you need to click "Remove Background" on the Appearance -> Background panel in your Dashboard. Also, ensure you clear the background color that is set -- open the color picker and click the "Clear" button. That should trigger the theme to restore the original graphics, like new.
