Enterprise theme

  1. The Enterprise theme is available free for blogs hosted by wp. I now want to use it on my website with wp installed but can't find it with theme search or in the several lists available in the theme management window. I know if you get it from Studio Whatever, the publishers, it is about $80. But I saw something in a wp blog that it would be available for all wp installations and the blog was dated in May. Can anybody enlighten me about whether or not I can get Enterprise without spending my grocery budget?

The blog I need help with is downandoutinla.wordpress.com.

  2. Not long before the Enterprise theme was launched on WordPress.com I released a chlid theme for Titan which is based upon the design of Enterprise.

When I released it, the child theme did not work with the downloadable version of Titan, but there have been some changes since then and I suspect it will work (I haven't checked though).

There also used to be an SVN checkout for themes on WordPress.com. I'm not sure if that still exists as I couldn't find it via searching.

  3. Here's the SVN checkout I mentioned ... http://svn.automattic.com/wpcom-themes/

Please note that the StudioPress version is actually better than the one here on WordPress.com. I'm not sure why, but there are some large difference between the code of the two themes. The code in the paid StudioPress version is much better and worth the extra money.

In particular, I'm pretty sure the dropdown menu for the WordPress.com will not work in Internet Explorer 6 (I haven't actually checked, that's just an assumption based on the weird code in it).

    Thanks for your theme suggestion.

Please give us the theme name, a link to view the theme, and—most importantly—why you like it and would love to have it on WordPress.com.

  5. @timethief - You seem confused. I have not suggested a theme at all.
