   Just a general question. I and another writer would like to start a WordPress blog, devoted to erotic fiction (not pornography, which for the purposes of the question, may be interpreted as jpgs and images of sex). The stories we write are professionally written but are obviously going to be offensive to some (nothing underage). I know that Mark has generally fielded these questions so I would be interested in hearing from him. I don't want to start a WordPress blog that's going to cause problems. I'll use blogger, much as I don't want to.

   Terms of service says "No Pornography". I'm good with that. But does that include erotic fiction?

   Thanks Timethief. I've seen you around, especially as regards this subject. I didn't see anything in report-blogs section that specifically forbid erotic fiction. I'll try contacting support.

   They will probably ask that if you are going to do it that you report your site as "mature" so that it does not show up in the global tags pages for young eyes to easily find.

   Adult material is permitted. If it's offensive enough to attract fair complaints we may choose to mark it as mature to keep it out of global tags, but it won't be banned or deleted.

   If you'd prefer your blog to be marked mature you can ask staff to do that for you.

   I use erotic images as much as words (plus tags) almost all the time at my current blog yet having difficulty, by all means, to be categorized as a mature one (R) -- do that in a wicked humorous way ofcourse. It much depends on the way you wrap up your blog and understanding pornography regulation in your local jurisdiction should staff label it as 'mature' or not, methinks.
