Error: xmlrpc fault (code 401)?

  1. From WordPress for Droid, I am getting the following message "XMLRPC Fault: Sorry, you cannot edit pages." I am an author in a shared, private site. I looked up the FAQs on WordPress for Droid, and it said to go, under my Dashboard (I'm assuming the non-mobile version?), to go to "Writing" under Settings, then scroll down to remote publishing. I cannot find "Writing" in this blog that I am a part of. I can find it under my main blog, but there is nothing under the writing tab about remote publishing. Any thoughts?
    Blog url: http://alyssamelby.wordpress.com/

  2. I am the administrator for this private blog that alyssamelby is apart of. I cannot find this option using the standard version online. Any idea on what to do?

  3. @alyssamelby
This blog http://alyssamelby.wordpress.com/ is empty ie. devoid on any blogger created content and there is no blog linked to your username. Please provided an active link starting with http:// to the exact blog you are refering to, as we cannot even begin to try to help you without it.

If it is the app written by wordpress you need to inquire over at http://android.forums.wordpress.org/

  5. I am getting the same error when trying to access posts using WordPress mobile app. I followed the instructions, and went to Settings>Writing here on WordPress.com Dashboard, but when I look for "Remote Publishing" options there is no such heading. I am the admin for akagringita.wordpress.com, so it's not that I don't have "access" to it, if it exists.

Has this setting moved somewhere else in the Dashboard and the help page related to it is just out of date, or is something broken?

And either way, how do I solve for it?
