Even after saving, all new content from today is GONE

    OMG. After working for over two hours this morning - and saving as I went (along with using AutoSave), I hit Preview and everything I did this morning disappeared. Restoring sessions doesn't restore content.

    I'm about to start sobbing.

    New tags, edits to title show up, but the real work is missing.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me there is a magical solution. Fairy dust, magic wand, whatever. Although something technological would be even better.

    And, yes, I know that the best prevention is to write in Word and then cut and paste, but that doesn't help me at this point...

    Was running TweetDeck at the time and I think it was gobbling up my memory, but there still has to be some kind of solution...doesn't there? Please?

    I sympathize as I have been there and have published a post on this topic that outlines all the recovery methods that can be used, assuming the post made it into the database. See > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/03/21/wordpress-recovering-a-lost-blog-post-or-page/
    My recommendtation is to use an offline blog editor like windowslivewriter or ecto for macs in the future as when we use them they provide backups of posts and page we create and publish on our blogs on our own computers.

    @ariannaarmstrong1 if you go to the Posts tab of your dashboard, you'll see a Draft post listed. I assume it's your post because I see a lot of edits. Is that the one?

    If so, click Edit. If the current version of the post doesn't have everything you wrote, look at the Post Revisions box down the bottom. You should be able to backtrack through there and find everything.
