Ever have those nights

  1. So this may just be me, but does anyone ever have those nights where you feel like writing and you feel very philosophical, but you cant think of anything to write? Hate those nights.

The blog I need help with is jmcartee.wordpress.com.

  2. Yes, this morning was one of them. I like the point of my entry today, but I am not really feeling the words. Blah.

All the time but with my painting though. I can paint wonderful masterpieces in my head while my easel stays empty. Such is life.

  4. Having a moment like that right now, actually. It might be because it's 3 in the morning, though. Sleep on it. You'll push through.

  5. my god..... I try to keep myself from writing philosophical because I end up writing in circles and end up getting lost in my own words. @.@

  6. Songs with deep lyrics usually help me from kicking the writer's block.

  7. I'm the opposite at this current moment! Perhaps I'm just tired

Oh yes. That's actually the whole reason why I started blogging. I figure if there's even the slightest chance that someone else will see what I'm thinking, I'll be better able to express whatever it is I'm feeling at the time. Its not a foolproof system (a lot of what I say doesn't end up making much sense anyway), but it sure beats staring at a blank piece of paper and feeling worthless.

  9. Writer's Block something related to the way you're feeling.

  10. Count me in. Dragging on with that feeling...

  11. I do have those nights and I usually can think of something to say but I can't figure out the best way to say it. So I have like 10 -15 posts that I have started and not finished.

  12. I usually have those nights when I've consumed a considerable amount of alcohol, it brings out the wiseguy in me :P

  13. Lol @ardpete :D

Whenever I have writer's block, I just don't write. That saves me a lot of frustration and leaves me more time to do other fun stuff. I know I'll think of something later. I had an English teacher that said a good writer writes every day. I wrote an essay (that probably wasn't as brilliant as I thought it was at the time) that said something like writing for the sake of writing was pointless. She said I didn't have to worry about it because she was only talking about good writers. Self-esteem was not a teacher concern back then, but I respected her a lot more after that.
