the blog URL is http://www.reelfocus.org.
I don't write custom excerpts. I just use a 'more' tag to cut off the post at a strategic place and the reader clicks on the title or the 'read the rest' link to go to the full post.
I know WordPress strips HTML tags when creating an excerpt but I really need to use some formatting tags ('p' and 'br' specifically).
I've tried a couple of plugins, but they do more harm than good to the overall format of the page.
Is there a way to disable wordpress removing the HTML tags? I'd like to be able to format my posts so that they're uniformly readable.
If you go to the URL of the blog, the first post (the Chungking Express review) is the one I'm having an issue with. If you click on the link to the post, you'll see the correct formatting, but on the home page, the formatting is off and it looks shoddy.
ANY help would be appreciated. I've tried everything, including editing .php files (which was a huge mistake, since I know next to nothing about code).
Thanks in advance,
