Expired Domain Renewal

I have an expired domain christyslifelessons.com and would like to renew it or transfer it to my hosting company preferably. How can I renew and/or transfer the content over to the new servers? I have several websites there and it would be easier to manage. First off though I need to renew. Thanks

  2. Oh no! This domain christyslifelessons.com expired 21 days ago!

    Hi there,
I'll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please read this while waiting http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/ Also subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

NOTE: You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog's dashboard and renew any upgrade for the blog.

  3. Hi there,

You'll need to renew it before you can transfer it. The domain is owned by another user account of your blog, user christywebster. If you log into that account, you'll see the renew option.

Unfortunately, your domain is in redemption, which means a late renewal fee of $80 is added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one which we can waive.

If you don't want to pay the $80 fee you can let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price once it has expired completely. But please note that your domain can be put up for auction or sold on back-order while it is in redemption, which means someone else may purchase the domain first and you will be unable to register it again.

Ok I have tried everything including the only other email address I thought could be the administrator email that was listed on whois.com. I teach people how to use WordPress so I'm very familiar with the processes. This however, is pretty ridiculous.

I called Wild West to try to recover the domain and they reverted me back to you. Please jump in and help me if you can. I don't need a lot of direction, but I do need a hint of what email address might be listed for christywebster. The wp-admin dashboard is unusable, wild west was no help, and this has been a cluster to try to figure out. Thanks for your help

  5. Log out then try the Lost Password feature for christywebster - that should send an email to the email address of record for that account - if all else fails, log out and use the Account Recovery Option,

    Lost Password

    Account Recovery Page

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

I've tried all of the above multiple times. I even recovered the only email address we ever had and there was nothing there. Thank you though for trying. Free hosting or cheap hosting and service sounds great, but a support phone number for things like this would be nice.

I am pretty resourceful when it comes to figuring things out, and I've gone through everything I can think of to figure this out. I can't do it without some help from someone with knowledge of where to truly find the API keys, receipts, dates of purchase, etc. I have no record that I can find. It was 3 years ago, my wife remarried and buried that email address with that last name on it if that makes sense.

Please try to help WP.com. Only you can give me a hint as to what email it was sent to because I am totally at a loss. You can call me at 8653884000 and I will verify anything you need me to to prove it's me. We can skype if that will help prove that it is indeed us wanting this information. It's just an expired domain that obviously has value only to one person ya know? It's Christian based, inspirational writing that means something to its author, as well as their readers. Please have some compassion and try to help us get this resolved. Thank you

  7. Hi there,
