Explorer does not stretch the background

  1. varosvedo dot hu has a fixed background. It is fixed and no-repeat by the theme GoPress appearence, I could not find the css for it, but however, I completed it in head.php with background-size: 100% auto; to stretch the background on whole screen, irrespectively view-zooming. So if you zoom out with ctrl -, you can see more and more of the background-image. I love this effect. Every browsers accept this, but not IE. What can I do.?

The blog I need help with is pageservice.wordpress.com.

  2. This is an empty free hosted WordPress.COM blog http://pageservice.wordpress.com/

What is the URL of the blog you are referring to?

  3. varosvedo .hu
Without the space, of course, please, put it together you for yourself. I don't want use the right form of the domain, because I don't want google will get people interested about the site will read my technical problems here. This is no secret but this is not their interest, they are interested about buildings and defending of scheduled monuments.

  4. As you are referring to a WordPress.ORG install, you are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers

  5. OK. Now I changed the sitename in my profile, I don't understand why is it question of territory, it was a question about css in wp and ie. But I need not understand everything, I leave to org.

  6. Best wishes with your site.

  7. Hi there, things here at the WordPress.com hosting service work differently in key ways from your self-hosted WordPress.org installation and you have access to files we do not have access to here at WordPress.com. I would suggest contacting your theme designer, or posting in the WordPress.org support forums using the link @timethief gave above.

You did not say which version if IE the issue was with, but versions before IE9 do not support the background size CSS. If you are talking about IE7 or 8, I would check out this article and see if this helps. You may also want to search for "Internet Explorer background size" (without the quotes) in the WordPress.org forums.
