Export my posts..or download them

  1. Hi,
is there anyway I could download my posts? Cause I write articles and sometimes need a copy on my desktop in any format...Cause if by mistake i delete them on blog I could always repost them.

I tried the Export option in the Manage tab but i get no file to download..strange

please help..all i need is saving my posts content.. not interested in the comments, etc.. just the main post

    Thx in advance
    Regards

  2. oh! wait.. the download now works. it was because i was using FireFox.. but can i have it in a non-xml format by anychance? like html say... and btw is there anyway I could view the post for "Printing" so i dont have the sidebar..header...etc?

  3. Would subscribing to your own feed through bloglines or feedblitz, etc. not provide you with the back-up copies that you require?

  4. The only export method we have currently is XML. You should be able to save a copy of it if it's loading into your browser. That's the method WordPress uses to transfer files between wordpress blogs.

Timethief mentions RSS as you can also save a copy of your posts if you're using an offsite RSS reader or RSS service.

    Hope this helps,
    -drmike

  5. You can use the tools at http://xfruits.com/ to convert your posts to .pdf files.
