Exporting followers from .com to .org

  1. Hello! I am moving my wordpress.com blog so I can self-host and am wondering how I can transfer my followers? I've exported the CSV file of email followers but not sure how to import that? Is this something you can help me with? Many thanks.

The blog I need help with is digtheoutside.wordpress.com.

  2. I've exported the CSV file of email followers but not sure how to import that?

Forget that as there is a better way to approach this.

Please provide both the .wordpress.com blog URL and the new domain URL. Then install and activate the JetPack plugin and Staff will be able to transfer your subscribers for you. I tagged this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  3. That's great thank you! I've installed and activated the Jetpack plugin.
    The URLS are:
digtheoutside.wordpress.com, and the new domain is:
    http://www.digtheoutside.com

So does this mean that my wordpress.com subscribers will receive emails from my new domain (if they have their preferences set to that) and see my updates in their wordpress reader or will I have to ask them to add me to their readers manually?

    Many thanks,
    Anna

  4. Another quick question, can my likes be ported across too?
    Thanks so much,
    Anna

  5. I have transferred your followers as requested.

At this time, we do not have a way to transfer Likes.

  6. You rule! Thanks so much dude :)
