    Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to use the API from external blogging applications? If so, what is the posting url for the api?

    is it:

    http://myblog.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php ??

One example of dashboard widget blog tools for the mac:

Thanks for any and all help/suggestions!

(not really up and running yet)

  2. You are absolutely correct.
'http://myblog.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php' is the standard access point of a WP blog.

excellent. :) Just for the record, I wanted to let you know that the following osX dashboard widgets I've tried with the standard access point, and work:

dashblog (no categories, but will publish)
RapidMetaBlog (categories, but quite huge on the dashboard, does have preview, however)
WordPressDash (categories, and confirmation of post, small footprint- I use this one now regularly).

    Thanks for the help Gaotsin!

  4. There's also Performancing that you can look at.

Quite a nice little extension for Firefox that will allow blogging to wp.com accounts.

I have so far only tried this app so have nothing to compare it to, but it's not too shabby at all!
