   Hi... I've made my facebook badge in a sidebar text widget, thanks to whoever wrote the support about all that - works a treat. Except - it opens the FB in the current window, replacing my blog in front of the reader's eyes. Please, how do I make it work so the FB page will open in a new tab / window? I looked at the html for the links I had created in blog text with the target to new page and found the html text about target equals blank. I tried pasting that into just about every possible place in my FB badge code text and haven't got it working yet - I just end up with that target= text showing up verbatim in the middle (or top or bottom) of the badge image on my sidebar. I don't really know html, so I presume there's some trick I'm missing about how or where or exactly what to paste in ... can someone please tell me how to do it right? You can look at http://winewomantravel.wordpress.com/ but I am also going to try to do this on the badge for another blog as well. And... sorry I'm not putting the HTML text into this message, but not sure how to do that without making a mess of this message too... Thank you for help (and patience with a rookie still on the upward side of the learning curve).

   You need to add a target="_blank" in your a href tag. For example you have
   <a href="http://favebooklink"><br /> <img width="120" height="170" style="border: 0pt none ;" src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/badgenumber.png"/><br /> </a>

   which you need to do:
   <a href="http://favebooklink"><br /> <img width="120" height="170" style="border: 0pt none ;" src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/badgenumber.png"/><br /> </a>

   note that the target="_blank" is added in the above sample code.

   the a herf in the codes were converted to links. Can a moderator please do something to make them plain text? or simply remove the above? I am trying to repost with html character codes.
