Facebook Integration: choosing the picture thumbnail

  1. Hi everyone,
How can I chose the thumbnail that I want to appear on facebook when I publish a post? If i have multiple pictures in my post on facebook, the system will automacially chose one at random. I want to have the ability to chose the one i want on display. Thanks

The blog I need help with is tonio-triathlon.com.

  2. Sorry but we have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include. I've found that using the "debugger" for Facebook helps a lot with getting the picture that you want to use on Facebook for your blog post link.

    Here's the link: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

It works well when you happen to change the photo/picture after publishing, too, and want the new picture on Facebook.

  4. Note that the debugger tool link is found in the info at the second link I posted above.

Yes, I was adding it and saying how well it works. So sorry.

  6. Oh, now I understand why you posted. Thanks for that. :)
