Facebook Integration not coming to WordPress.com

  1. Out of burning curiousity, I contacted staff with regards to the exciting new Facebook integration feature and got told "this specific plugin isn't available on WordPress.com. However, I have just passed this along to our team as a suggestion for future updates so that we can look into incorporating any of the features that aren't currently available on WordPress.com."

I know many feel cross platform comment posting is a mess you don't want. For folks whose work thrives in a social network environment can benefit from the cross platform convenience as I've seen on a number of self-hosted WP blogs where this plugin is used.

The blog I need help with is shimworld.wordpress.com.

  2. As someone who makes a living off the social network environment, this is not something I welcome. Quite the contrary.

  3. For photographers it's all about feedback and reaction to the image, both positive and negative. But it has happened before when a feature's unlikely implementation became reality in time. Let's see if this social 'nightmare' gets real anytime soon.

  4. I'm going to reply to you here, then tweet it at you, then send it to you as a message in Facebook, then send it as a private post in Google Plus. Then let's see how you like it.

  5. Actually, that's currently what's happening right now though you left out LinkedIn. I'm not stressed out by all this because I rely on email notification - beautiful and extinct Eudora Pro routes all my Gmails via POP3 into my Inbox offline and filters them accordingly.
