facebook like in blog home

  1. Hi,

i do not know why the facebook like button disappeared from blog home (main stream, where only abstracts appear). It used to, but not any more.

These buttons appear only at the end of the complete article.

yesterday, doing some editing of a post, buttons suddenly reappered in home page, but they disappeared again. Cannot recall what i did.

    con somebody help me?

    thanks
    antonio

The blog I need help with is blog.medicadiet.com.

  2. Go to settings > sharing and make sure that in the pulldown you have selected posts, pages and index pages and then save.

  3. hi, yes that has been always like that, but stopped showing buttons in home some months ago.

  4. If you already have that set, then there is a bug in the theme. I'll tag this thread to have it moved to the themes forum and hopefully the theme team will wander through and take a look at it and get it fixed.

  5. thank you! Lets see if someone helps.

  6. hi thesacredpath,

do I have to do something with tags? open a new thread? I fear this is not being read.

    thanks!!!

  7. Oh No! Don't tag it. I did that once and was told not to. Right now staff are probably pretty busy since they just rolled out version 3.3 of wordpress here. Give them a few days.

  8. @medicadiet This is tied to how you use excerpts. With this theme, Blix, sharing links are not added to posts that use excerpts.

If you really want to show the button on the front page, remove the excerpts and use the "More tag" in your post content instead. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ for how to use it.

  9. Hi,

thank you very much for your answer., and sorry for my late response. I hadn't noticed your post till not.

The point is that I need to personalize excerpts because is what goes in my newsletter. The more tag doesn't work well with mailchimp.

    Thanks again and regards
    antonio
