Facebook Photo Tag

    Hi guys,

    I'm looking to give our blog's users the possibility to tag themselves and/or their friends on the photos we post. It's a social plugin we're looking into, so users would be able to comment and tag photos after "logging in" to our blog. I know this isn't a wordpress.com website but have a look at this website: http://ihateflash.net/set/festival-planeta-terra-2012/280198 it allows you to do what we need to.

    I was wondering if WordPress allows you to do this, and if so, which path should I take. I don't mind upgrading the template or having to invest on a widget/plugin as long as it doesn't cost a fortune.

    The blog template we use is Grisaille, and the blog is http://bustedqueenstown.wordpress.com (still on development phase).

    I'll be away for about 3 hours so excuse me in advance if I don't reply straight away. Any help is welcome.

    It's a social plugin we're looking into ...

    There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software. Also note that we cannot access the php underlying our blogs and edit templates or themes.

    There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access,the ability to install plugins, and access to the php underlying our blogs. We cannot edit templates or themes on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

    In short, no, they can't tag or annotate, but if you make each photo its own post they can certainly comment.

    Thank you for your replies. In short, if we were on WordPress.ORG we'd be able to "develop" or install this application, but for WordPress.COM it is not possible and that's the end of the story?
