Facebook/Twitter publicise issue

    Hi, I'm new to the forums

    Basically, I'm having trouble disconnecting from sharing posts on Facebook and Twitter. For some reason, I have two lots of Facebook and Twitter connections for my blog and thought I'd disconnect and reconnect to see if this would remedy the problem but when I go to disconnect them, I get a notification saying "You have disconnected your WordPress.com blog from your Facebook account." but they're still connected (same for when I try to disconnect my Twitter connection).

    Not really sure what to do as now no posts go to either Facebook/Twitter account and I can't reconnect because of the issue. Can anyone help?

    Just had exactly this problem only I didn't explain it as well or as fully as you did. I'm left with no Twitter connection but settings that insist I am connected and which cannot be altered.

    Same. Looks like it could be an ongoing issue then...

    1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/
    2. Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

    I'm sorry I did not read more closely - you can't disconnect. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention.

    Reconnect procedure fails because clicking on disconnect fails to disconnect. Every time I click on that option I get the message in the yellow box telling me I've disconnected but Twitter remains connected and link to disconnect still offered.

    That's my problem with Facebook I have been thinking that my posts have been publicized but it has not done so to fb or to my fb business page. I cannot disconnect to try to reconnect.

    Adding to this thread, because my Twitter publicize issue may be related? I just scheduled several posts for future publication. But when I clicked "Schedule" they all went out NOW on my Twitter account! The scheduled posts did not publish on WordPress, but the tweets went out.

    Seems that lots of people have had this problem at the same time and have come across it in different ways.

    I posted a thread about blackcoffee's issue a bit ago. It's very frustrating. I can't edit any drafts unless I want them to be published and publicized as soon as I hit save draft. Any idea on how to fix this?
