Falling so low...

Since few days there is a sudden fall of traffic on my blog. How to explain it ?

The blog I need help with is travelerreport.wordpress.com.

I see that you have a travel and photography blog (as I do: satnavandcider.wordpress.com). By any chance is most of the fall in traffic a result of greatly reduced referrals from Google Image Search? Recently, Google launched a new image search that shows full-sized images without the need for the searcher to go to your site.

My traffic from Google Image Search referrals has dropped significantly in the last few days. It's too soon to say for sure, but it seems like my total traffic is down by at least 1/3 overall.

I see Satnavandcider you have many likes. Very well. Twitter, Facebook,...are efficient ways to gain traffic ?
Moreover, I wonder if the sudden fall of traffic is a way for WordPress to incite bloggers to pay to try the services from companies ( PR Newswire, Stumbleupon) with whom WordPress has agreements.

So far I don't get many referrals percentage-wise from Facebook or Twitter. The majority come from my blog's subscribers and, predominantly, from Google Image Search (or at least it used to).

I don't see how this change benefits WordPress, especially if Google Image Search accesses original image files stored on WP's servers, but does not result in site traffic that generates revenue for WP (and bloggers) based on page views or click throughs. (I don't put ads on my blog, but WP might...I don't check). Then again, perhaps I'm not understanding the way this all works.

No - Google is keeping traffic on their site - the traffic drop hurts WordPress.COM -
