favicon/Blavatar upload issues

  1. How can I check if a Blavatar was uploaded correctly? After uploading and cropping, it's not visible in the General Seetings page - is that correct or has something gone wrong then?

Is the favicon only displayed under certain circumstances, like i.e. when using a paid account?

    Thanks!

    Klaus

The blog I need help with is kilibee.wordpress.com.

  2. The uploader in the blog doesn’t work - you’ve got to go directly to http://en.gravatar.com/ .

(Please search the forum before asking questions: this has been answered repeatedly.)

  3. They're asking about a Blavatar, not a Gravatar.

Staff fixed the Blavatar feature about a week ago. Try re-uploading it, and if that dosen't work - clear your cache and do a full restart. Otherwise it may just be taking some time to upload.

  4. Oh, right – thanks!

  5. I've found a trick that seems to work - at least for me. When the crop box comes up, grab one of the crop handles, move it around a little and then back to where it was in the first place, and then click the "crop" button. That is what I have to do to get a new blavatar uploaded.

  6. The resizing trick worked perfectly - thanks a million!

  7. Adding just for future reference if others find this thread:

    - If the upload worked, then the image is indeed shown in the upper right of your "General Settings"
    - the favicon also works in free blogs

    Cheers

    Klaus
