I'm a noob but I'm not an idiot and, for the life of me, I can't add a new favicon. Not least because the upload new media area does not support .ico files. Can someone explain to me, in as simple terms as humanely possible, how to upload and activate a favicon. Also, if there's a plug-ins menu, where is it?

There is no FTP access to WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install any plugins. They are only for WordPress.org installs. To upload a favicon AKA blavatar see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/
