i am a n00b to WordPress and i want to make this page look like the preview page and am having a lot of trouble doing that. i've been reading through the forums and i still cant figure out why the Feature Image is not showing up when i've followed all the directions on the theme's description page. HELP.

Generally, themes that use featured images need you to set them for each post in the post editor, using the Featured image module. If you can't see the module on your post editor page, then click the 'screen options' tab at the top of the post editor page and check it.
However, each theme behaves a little differently, so it would help you if you were to read about the one you are using, which seems to be Oxygen.
