Featured image doesn't always appear on top

    I have the Twenty Eleven theme and regularly use a featured image to appear on top of a specific post. Recently I have noticed that this feature doesn't work regularly i.e. the featured image appears for some posts, but not others. I tried removing and resetting the featured image, but still doesn't appear. This has happened consistently at least for one post.

    Has anyone else faced this problem? Is there some setting I am missing out on? Any help would be appreciated.

    I haven't experienced this because I don't use the Showcase Template and featured images. I have flagged this thread so it will be moved to the Themes Forum where Themes Staff monitor threads and will responbd to you.

    @TT: bhavenjani isn't using the Showcase Template either.

    @bhavenjani: A featured image won't replace the regular header image if its dimensions are smaller than required. But I'm seeing alternative header images on all all your latest posts. Which post are you referring to?

    I do have the same problem with my Oxygen Theme too.

    I'm not talking about the header image but about the featured images of the sticky posts.

    Please do not create confusion by posting into this Twenty Eelevn thread on your Oxygen issue.     @ghavenjani - I looked at a few of your posts and saw different headers too. I think there were two that had the niagara falls pic but otherwise seems to be working fine.

    Thanks for all your responses. And probably I should have clarified this earlier.

    On my home page, I have programmed multiple images to appear on a random basis every time a visitor arrives or refreshes the page. Same happens for several internal pages too.

    However, on specific posts, I have put a featured images.e.g.

    -Mountain biking & Kayaking - It has a featured image, but this image doesn't appear. Every time you reach here, a different image appears, similar to the home page.
    -Shimla Always charming.. or Focus Canada - These have a featured image that appears correctly. The same image will appear every time you reach this page.

    This is the case with various other posts. The featured image seems to be working correctly on some posts, but not all. I am not able to figure out why it doesn't work correctly on some.

    As I already said, "a featured image won't replace the regular header image if its dimensions are smaller than required".
    Required dimensions in 2011 are 1000 x 288 pixels.

    Most of my pics do meet these dimensions, however I reuploaded the pic after double checking that it is larger than 1000 x 288 and now it is working correctly:)
