Can the featured image used as header come with a crop tool like the header image upload?
Not all featured images look good with the slice taken bang from the middle. Also, you would just store the box coords instead of making a crop copy.
Same for header images, it should really just store the box coords instead of making a crop copy, so that it can be adjusted since some themes need larger headers.
What is the URL starting with http:// for the blog you are having issues with?
Which theme is on the blog you are referring to?

- can't variable height
2011, oxygen, etc: (I tried a lot of them)
- variable height headers, but no crop tool for featured images
- variable size headers, but switching between them loses headers even though they are a usable size*
* since you can only set header from gallery by paging through the list in the media list it's very time consuming. You can't set header from gallery then do a search in the media list since the resulting images will not have the link to 'set header image'. If you have 600 pages of media and your image is on page 300, you can only jump 2 pages at a time, that's 150 clicks to get 1 header, and you can't select multiple at the same time.
