My contact form has forwarded to our default email of record fine, and then it quit. Customer wondered why I didn't reply.
There has been no other changes at the WP end or the receiving email end - nothing in spam folders, it just plain died.
Strange, when I use it, it forwards in seconds - but the client mail never made it ( which I just now found via Dashboard ).
