I would like to add a feedback tool to the sidebar but no widget seems available.
I know I could use the [contact-form] in a page or post but ideally for one of my blogs I would like it on the sidebar is that possible ?

The blog I need help with is astonvilla-views.com.
There is no such widget that I am aware of.
1. We can get feedback by having comments enabled on posts.
2. We can use contact forms on Pages only and not in posts or in sidebars.
3. We can enable ratings on Pages, Posts and Comments http://en.support.wordpress.com/ratings/
4. We can also post an email address on our About page and invite our readers to contact us privately.
If you can locate a 3rd party widget that does not contain restricted codes then you place it in a text widget in your sidebar. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
OOPS! I made an mistake. Contact forms can be used on both static Pages and Posts but cannot be placed in sidebars. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
5. We can set up a free forum and link to it from a wordpress.com blog.
6. We can set up a free social network at ning.com and link to it from a wordpress.com blog.
