Feedburner Subscription (Widget)

  1. I am trying to add a feedburner e-mail subscription option to my blog. I'd like one like my friend's blog at http://danieljclark.typepad.com I realize that typepad offers this as a widget.

I tried adding as a text widget, as you can see on my blog (http://rememberthepoor.wordpress.com), but it deletes a lot of the html code that I paste in there from feedburner. Here is what feedburner gave me to post in:

    <form style="border:1px solid #ccc;padding:3px;text-align:center;" action="http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverify" method="post" target="popupwindow" onsubmit="window.open('http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverifySubmit?feedId=2348579', 'popupwindow', 'scrollbars=yes,width=550,height=520');return true"><p>Enter your email address:</p><p><input type="text" style="width:140px" name="email"/></p><input type="hidden" value="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~e?ffid=2348579" name="url"/><input type="hidden" value="Remember the Poor" name="title"/><input type="hidden" name="loc" value="es_ES"/><input type="submit" value="Subscribe" /><p>Delivered by FeedBurner</p></form>

You can see, most of it is not there.

I don't think I can add it by editing my CSS since this is html code. What is the best way to get this "subscribe" from feedburner on to my blog? Thanks!

  2. You cannot use the Subscription Form Code. You must use the Subscription Link Code as laid out in these instructions: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/11/how-can-i-offer-email-updates/

  3. thanks- that did the trick :)
