finding XML-RPC and allowing remote publishing
-
I have been advised that the following path will let me click on a box to allow xml-rpc
1. Login as Admin to your WordPress Blog.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Click on Writing under Settings Menu.
4. Find section on Remote Publishing
4. Click on the check box named XML-RPC
5. Save the settings.
Unfortunately under the settings/writing area of Word Press, I cannot find a check box name XML-RPC.This seems to have changed to teaching videos I have viewed.
I can only read Press this and Post by email
Has xml-rpc moved to somewhere else on Word Press? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Searching in the Support Docs for XML-RPC, this is what I found:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ Of course, this relates to blogs hosted on WordPress.com. Who exactly advised you about the path you mentioned above? If you are looking to remotely publish content from elsewhere on the web to your WordPress.com blog, we do not have an automatic function like this nor is it allowed here. Check out the Types of Blogs from the Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up. http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/

Those instructions are for a wordpress.ORG self-hosted installation. At wordpress.COM, XMLRPC is always active.
The XMLRPC link to your site is: http://attractawomannow.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php .
If you just want to be able to use a blog client software package to post, that is fine. If you are looking to do something else, please let us know what that is. As Jennifer says, some types of remote publishing are not allowed here.

You failed to post an active link to your blog. The instructions for WordPress.com bloggers to use for posting to their own blogs are found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ -
XML-RPC is active on all wordpress.COM sites by default. There is no way to turn it off.
You need to talk with the blogpress people and find out from them how to set things up. Again though without a link to the site you are talking about we

If you had read this thread, remote publishing is always available here at wordpress.COM. There is nothing to turn on or activate. Read the link that Timethief posted right above your post.

When I tried to login with my iPhon APP , I got this error!
A connection failure occurred: SSL problem(possibly a bad/expired/self-signed certificate)

iOS Apps are supported on the iOS App website: http://iphone.wordpress.org/ . Take a look around the FAQs and the forum over there and you will very likely find your answer.
