After floating an image underneath my sub heading there is now too much space between the sub heading and the paragraph bellow. Can anyone suggest a method for reducing this space and have the heading sitting closer to the paragraph beneath?

To get single spacing hold the SHIFT key down when you click ENTER at the end of the paragraph.

I've disabled the visual editor. I'm interested in fixing the code that is causing this, I think its to do with one of the style properties.

</p>All I did was delete the "white space" after the closing tag for the image and it fixed the problem. I don't really understood why tbh, but it seems to have improved things.
The image had a standard break after it < br > (without the spaces) which meant that the top of the image was actually the top of the paragraph and the text was pushed down by one line which made it look like there was extra space.
Sadly the normal p and br tags don't show in the editor in wordpress and that can make it difficult to track down some of these issues. I guess they do it to keep from confusing those not versed in HTML, but it makes it difficult to troubleshoot.
Anyway, the important thing is the issue is resolved for you.
