Follow Blog Widget

  1. Hi,

    I'm using social media buttons for my twitter/RSS/Facebook signup, and I'm wondering if I can do the same for the email subscription signup (Follow Blog Widget)? If so, how do I do that? If it can't be done, that's okay, too. As much as I'd love to do it, it's not the end of the world if I can't.

    Thanks,

    The blog I need help with is edeelemonier.wordpress.com.

  2. The subscription widget is in the standard widget list.

  3. I know. I'd like to replace the little grey bar that says "Subscribe" with my own graphic. Is there any way to do that?

  4. I'll flag this thread and have it moved to the CSS Forum for you as I see that you have the custom design upgrade.

  5. Thanks, timethief :)

  6. You're welcome.

  7. Okay. I'm a ding dong. I can't find this thread in the CSS Forum. Do you have a link?

  8. Looks like someone has already moved your request to the CSS forum for you! Here is the link in case you need it for future reference and note that you can always find it listed as "CSS Customization" on the main WordPress.com forums home page.

    So you want to replace the submit button in the Follow Blog Widget with an image? That's doable. Here is an example:

    .widget_blog_subscription input[type="submit"] {
    	background: transparent url(http://edeelemonier.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/rss_64.png);
    	width: 64px;
    	height: 64px;
    	text-align: left;
    	text-indent: -9999px;
    	border: none;
    }

    Change out the url() value with a different image.
