Follow widget button

  1. Many friends of mine have attempted to subscribe to my blog using the "follow me!" button from the follow widget. These people are NOT wordpress users, and can only access my blog when I e-mail them that I have something posted. My understanding from the widget, is that those who are not wp.com users will see a message and a box enabling them to put in their e-mail address in order to receive updates when I post. However, it seems that hardly any of them have been able to sign up. I'm confused. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is murmursofmyheart.wordpress.com.

  2. I logged out of WordPress.com and visited your blog and clicked the "follow" button on the bottom right hand corner:

    Follow Heart Murmurs
Get every new post delivered to your Inbox.
    Join 25 other followers

    enter mail address

This function appears to be working properly.

  3. Thank you so much for doing this! I don't know why others seem to be having trouble...
... maybe I'll ask them to try again.

  4. I would ask them to clear their browser cache and cookies it they cannot see what I see and posted above. I am using Firefox 9.0.1 however, if they are using Google Chrome then there is no built in feed reader. They need to get this RSS Subscription Extension (by Google)

  5. There were some issues with the widget over the holidays, is what I heard.
