Followers and stats export

I'm in the process of moving my blog to a self-hosted WP site, and I was hoping there would be a way I could keep my followers, stats, likes, and ratings. The original blog is http://thebestdefenseprogram.wordpress.com and the site I am moving it to is http://thebestdefenseprogram.com

I've installed JetPack, which has helped me maintain a lot of the functionality of the WordPress hosted blog, but the things I seem to be losing by self-hosting are really frustrating me.

The blog I need help with is thebestdefenseprogram.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi
I have exactly the same issue.
I have moved from http://zafroland.wordpress.com to selfhosted http://www.zafro.co.uk/
I would like to keep my followers, stats, likes, ratings.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Hi Zafro,

I did a bit of investigating, and from what I can tell we may lose some things but not others. First off, you probably want to install the JetPack plugin. Next, in your WordPress hosted blog, go to your dashboard and select Site Stats. On that page, scroll down to Totals, Followers, and Shares. You'll see a number associated with the word "blog" - click that link and you'll get blog followers and email followers. You can export your email followers as a CSV file, which you can then add to your followers list on your new site.

The rest of it is up to someone else to help us with, though, as I've been unable to figure out how to do much of anything else. JetPack is a must, though - not just because it's a plugin that maintains functionality of your WP hosted site, but because it's also just a great plugin.
