Logged in last night and the font/size had changed on older posts and the sidebar widget. But not consistently. Static pages seem OK. Still hasn't returned to normal. Suggestions appreciated. http://throughtheravenglass.wordpress.com

I'm not seeing any inconsistencies at all. You could have a browser issue so try changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies - instructions for specific browsers.
Thanks for the response. That is interesting - I did update to Firefox 4 yesterday. Checked that cache and cookies were clear - fonts still different. So I accessed the blog through Safari but still had font changes.
So I'm the only one that can see them. Guess that's a good thing :-) Imaginary font friends.
I just used IE8 and there is definitely something weird going on. The font in the sidebar is BIG. That means your blog does need Staff attention. I'll flag this thread so Staff are aware of the issue.

You're getting this because you have formatted the text in "Johnny Tremain" and "Devil on my Back" as code (intentionally or not?) but left the HTML tags unclosed so this affects the rest of the content on your front page.
Go to Settings>Writing, tick the option "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically", click Save Changes, then edit those two posts.
PS You've got the same problem in older posts too - click on each post title to see which ones are wrong.
Unintentional. There is a lot I don't understand. The newer posts aren't different than the older ones, yet don't have a problem. I don't understand why this would suddenly appear when the posts have been up for a month. Is this caused by my effort to have several blank lines? They kept disappearing from the posts, changing the spacing, so I put those code lines in as space savers (you needed a good laugh today, right?).
OK, so I have changed the nested setting. Now I need to go back through every post and take out all the code lines? What is the proper way to maintain several blank lines, since multiple returns were deleted?

I would not start editing any old posts. As there are other issues being reported with Koi and iwth other themes and functions as well. I strongly suspect that Staff are tweaking themes in the background. Staff has closed the support link and we are into day three of what appears to be issues. If I were you I would do nothing at all until all this weirdness settles down and Staff reactivates the support link.
I already changed two, but will hold off on anything more. How do I tell when the support link has been reactivated?

I'm so sorry but we Volunteers know nothing more than any other member knows. We Volunteers do not have a clue what's going on with Staff. We do not know why the support link has been deactivated. We do not know when it will be reactivated.
Sorry, I didn't mean a time prediction. Is there someplace to check whether the support link is activated or deactivated? I don't know how to tell when the situation has changed.

I flagged this thread for Staff attention in the hope we can get an explanation of some sort as it's day 3 now, and it would be nice to have an inkling of what's going on, and when Staff anticipate reactivation of the support link to take place.

Just to close this out, I contacted support and someone took a look at things but did not tell me what the solution was and I have not heard back from them since 17 May. Today, I went back through all the posts and started changing the code lines that were place holders to make sure they were all closed out (no odd numbers as it were). The appearance problems started to go away as I worked through making corrections. Then I discovered someone had corrected a couple of the posts back on 16 May and even in March.

Is there an explanation there for how to create links in general text (in Koi) without them being underlined? I would like to have a list of links on a page, but it looks very busy if they are all underlined. I have tried telling it text decoration none without success.
Note: Someone from Support did check back today, which I appreciate.
The underlined links in the Koi theme is what the theme has been coded to display and there is no free and easy way to remove the underline or change the links to display in any other way.
"No free and easy way" but yes free and not easy, and yes it's "text decoration none" - like that:
<a style="text-decoration:none;" href="URL HERE">TEXT HERE</a>
But you must add something else to style (color maybe?), so that one can tell it's a link.

ooops. Somehow what I wrote turned into "TEXT HERE" since I don't know how to isolate it. Anyway, putting color within the quotation marks for style worked.
