Font down right hand side of blog gone tiny!

    If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
    I have inherited a blog them Twenty Ten - http://royalflyingdoctorservice.wordpress.com
    The font down the right hand side fo the page for recent posts and twitter updates has gone tiny and I cannot see how to fix.

    It's only on the homepage - if you click on a post the fonts are normal.
    Anyone had this problem? Or can anyone suggest some help?

    Thanks in advance
    Beck

    The blog I need help with is royalflyingdoctorservice.wordpress.com.

  2. I can't help with the problem you are asking about, but when I looked at your blog it was obvious that your custom background image must be huge: it takes a very long time to load. You need to compress it for web viewing.

    Sorry, no advice about why the sidebar has such small type on the front page.

    Thanks for the image feedback.
    I will reduce and upload - much easier to start a blog from scratch then inherit one with it foibles.

  4. If you go to http://royalflyingdoctorservice.wordpress.com/page/2/ , you'll see lots of tiny text in your posts too. That's because of an unclosed HTML tag in the "More information about" paragraph you've being copypasting. You need to switch the editor to HTML and correct it (in all the posts). The paragraph is like that:

    <small>More information ETC ETC
    Follow the journey ETC ETC</small>
    <small>LINK TO PLEASE SUPPORT ETC

    It should be:

    <small>More information ETC ETC
    Follow the journey ETC ETC</small>
    <small>LINK TO PLEASE SUPPORT ETC</small>

    Or better:

    <p style="font-size:80%;">
    More information ETC ETC
    Follow the journey ETC ETC
    LINK TO PLEASE SUPPORT ETC
    </p>

    Please also go here > Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”

    If you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the Visual editor, please see here so you know how to do this correctly in the future. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

    @panaghiotisadam
    you are an absolute legend! those unclosed tags were stuffing everything up so I have updated. Font is now fine.

    @timethief I tried that option and it didn't fix the issue I was having - however maybe that will help avoid this in future posts.

    thanks for all your help!

  7. however maybe that will help avoid this in future posts.

    That's why I posted it. :)

  8. You're welcome.

    Note that you didn't correct all the problem posts: page 2 of your posts still has a couple of wrong ones.

    As for tt's suggestion, it's right, only it won't correct already published posts by itself: it makes sure that posts created after you check the option won't have such problems, and it will correct your published posts if you make any change to them (for instance add then remove a space - anything that will require hitting Update afterwards).
