Footer ad

  1. Recently WP has added a footer to WP.com blogs
    eg
"Theme: Coraline by Automattic. Blog at WordPress.com."

I have the domain upgrade so that users don't have to see WP.com, but now I get a link to both the theme AND WP.com. It looks supremely unprofessional. I mean, I may as well get a free site at wix.com, their text is less intrusive.

It appears randomly and frankly that big black bar on my blog draws eyes to it.

  2. You always had both links in your footer. It's part of the terms of service here at WordPress.com. They've changed the look of them recently, and they're continuing to change them as people complain.
