Footers from bottom to side

    Hello,

    I used the Imbalance 2 theme. I enjoy a lot of it, but with it's only allowing me to put widgets at the header and at the very bottom. The top interferes with the flow of the page, and everything else being at the bottom won't get looked at. How can I have this so the widgets are on the side, say the left side, next to the main area where everything is displayed?

    My blog is http://www.cvilleshutterbug.net -hosted on WordPress.

    The blog I need help with is cvilleshutterbug.net.

    The problem is, the wrapper for the theme is already at 960px wide so to add the footer widgets on the side, it would mean widening that to about 1170px, and with around 20% of people still on 1024px wide monitors, that means they would not see your sidebar without scrolling horizontally. With that still up at around 20%, I'm reluctant to make themes or websites wider that about 960 to 990px.

    That said, give this a try and make sure and view your site when logged in and also when logged out to make sure the new right sidebar doesn't shift in relationship to the rest of the content.

    #wrapper {
    position: relative;
    width: 1170px;
    }

    #footer-right {
    position: absolute;
    right: 0;
    top: 490px;
    }

    #footer-right .widget {
    padding-left: 20px;
    }
