I started my blog in April of this year. Why do you think homosexuality is a sin? Isn't love in all it's forms God given and natural whether it's between man/woman, two men or two women? It's people who spout that being gay is sinful which leads to the most terrible guilt suffered by young people and many of these young people commit suicide because of the burden of guilt.
Just another example of the horrors committed in the name of religion and perpetrated by religious fundamentalists and fanatics. That in itself is evil and wrong.

Seriously, why give haters, who insist that everyone does not accept their twisted interpretations of ancient texts are going to to tossed into imaginary hell fires the time of day? Haters gonna hate. Hating is what delusional fear-filled and guilt ridden fundamentalists do best of all. It's a resounding gong but we don't need to acknowlege that we hear it clanging.

@timethief That's not surprising because my community is predominantly Roman Catholic. And not one person in my grade had read the Bible. I did and I'm not even RC!
I'm Muslim and I know much about Christainty. One thing is for sure that Christains' belief of Atonement is keeping the people (even Christians) away from religion. My religion doesn't make me obey its teachings but gives proof to convince me.

Typical responses to a forum topic by people who clearly do not fit the poster's specific topic. I don't understand the compulsion to click on this and badger a guy who is trying to find similar bloggers to connect with. Isn't that the point of forums?
I get it. You have issues with Christianity. I don't get what you're trying to accomplish by commenting here.
I just love when people call me an idiot and a bigot. It makes me open right up to a serious discussion about religion. Really, it's a bad idea to bring it up on here at all. Still, if that's what his blog is about, let him find some people who share his interests. That's clearly not you.

@Hnsaifi. Oh believe me I know all to well what those barbarians do to young men who are gay. In the West, we use cranes to build and create, in those countries they hang poor men and boys from them for who they choose to love. Some of those kids are only 16. it breaks my heart to see those images and we (supporters of LGBTQ rights) are fighting hard to stop it.

I am not now nor have I ever been a member of the ecumenical movement but I did find the thread title and content of the OP to be offensive. People who have the gall to call themselves "serious followers of Jesus Christ", who have the temerity to post threads like this one wherein they are clearly attacking other Christians open the door to scorn and mockery. They aren't living up to the commandment to love those who they perceive to be their enemies. Those who appear to have planks protruding from their eyes, who clang like cymbals on public forums like this one cannot be walking in the spirit . They may be full of it (brainwashing and indoctrination) but they aren't full of love, and that means they have yet to be spiritually reborn.

@timethief All I'm saying is that I don't understand why non-Christians (whether they are part of the ecumenical movement or not) go to threads like these, belittle people, call them names, and get so angry and hateful and in the next breath call them "haters" and say that people shouldn't acknowledge them. It makes absolutely no sense.
This isn't the first thread like this. Someone mentions the word, "Christian" or "Jesus" and common decency and manners go out the window. I would never go to a thread clearly stating it is for Buddhists, call them names and throw a Jesus quote in their face. That would be rude and very disrespectful. That thread is clearly not meant for me and I have no interest in offending or belittling anyone for their religious beliefs, whether I agree with them or not.
I like you, Timethief. I always have. I think you're a wonderful person and very passionate about your beliefs. I admire that. I hope we can still be civil to one another.
