Forms: multiple response on radio/drop down not available

  1. Multi response answers on a form: support says it is available, but it does not appear as an option on my site builder. Why?
    Blog url: http://bluestoneme.wordpress.com/

  2. You can follow the instructions in this guide on how to add a contact form on your posts and page.

  3. I had already gone through this on your help area. The problem is that your guide (look at 'options' guidance under 'add a field') states:

"Options: Should you select dropdown, or radio button as a field type, you will be presented with a fourth option that allows you to add select options."

It does not. There is no other option. If I could drop a screen dump here you would be able to see what I mean. It seems to have not been included in my 'Linen'.

  4. Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

  5. Same issue in different browser. If you can tell me how to send you a screen shot I will send the screen.

  6. Could you send us a screenshot of the page where you're seeing this? You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library and post the link here.

  7. Here they are. My Mac or your screen won't allow me to reduce this all to one page, but these two grabs make up the exact page as I have it on my screen. The 1st link is where I have opened a radio edit, and the 2nd link shows the bottom of the page when scrolling down to add the option of multiple responses. Together these two grabs make the complete page - nothing missing.

I cannot see another drop down box for multiple responses?

  8. The option that guide is referring to is the 'Add another option' link. I've just adjusted the guide to make it more clear.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  9. Still unclear. Is there a way in which I can set up a form to ensure people can click a number of radio boxes or drop downs? My site is an event site and people need to be able to choose either one, or a number, of events or options - and not go through the pain of applying for information on them one by one.

  10. Have you tried using a 'checkbox' in stead of a 'radio box', this way they can select multiple options.

  11. OK. Thanks, will try. Whilst on, is there a way of changing the layout sideways as well as up & down? In other words having the form across 2 or 3 columns rather than scrolling down the page to complete?

  12. Just tried the checkbox option and it seems I need to add a box for each location in which I want to run the events. This is going to make a very long form - which means people will be less likely to complete it.

Please be clear for my purposes - are the radio/drop down options only single choice?

  13. Still no reply to this ongoing question....can someone please look and reply?

  14. I'm sorry, that's not yet possible in the Contact Form. We've registered your suggestion and will keep it in mind for future features and updates!

Also, don't forget the ideas forum, where you can discuss your suggestion with the WordPress.com community: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas
