  1. I saw a forum on http://penguinlodge.com/. Can I get a forum on my Blog too?

The blog I need help with is supermironscpblog.wordpress.com.

  2. The blog you point to is not a free hosted wordpress.COM blog. It is wordpress.ORG install. No you cannot embed a forum into a wordpress.COM blog. You can set up a forum elsewhere on the internet and then link to it from your wordpress.COM blog.

  3. Oh, ok, I get it.

  4. Oh, but, I forgot, There's a forum on http://clubpenguincp.com/

  5. And clubpenguincp.com is a wordpress.COM Blog, cause it has the smiley thingy at the bottom!

  6. The link you reference above goes to a self hosted WordPress.ORG blog hosted on softlayer.com. Also clubpenguincp also does not meet the Terms of Service for WordPress.COM.

  7. I SAID IT HAS THE SMILEY AT THE BOTTOM!

  8. Hi there, I wanna tell ya, so cool, I made a forum on http://www.forumotion.com/! ...but the bad thing is, I don't know how to put it on my blog. Could you help me?

  9. You cannot "embed" a forum into a wordpress.COM blog like the one linked to your wordpress.COM username. You can link to it from a static page on your blog.

How to create links > http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
    Hope this helps. :)

  10. I forgot to say that if you prefer you can link to your forum from a text widget placed at the top of your sidebar. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

  11. As far as the wordpress.ORG blog goes we do not provide support for that software on this forum. We provide support only for free hosted wordpress.COM blogs on this forum. All those who have blogs hosted by any other web host must post to this forum got support with their software which is different from ours > http://wordpress.ORG/support/

  12. This it too complicated!

  13. Sending an email is complicated? Copy and pasting the code they send back into a text widget is too complicated?

Well, I'm sorry to say that all third party visitor tracking widgets that we can use except for sitemeter (more complicated as you have to add the code as a link) are all the same process. You get code and copy and paste it into a text widget. So I guess if that's too complicated for you to manage then that means you will have to do without a third party visitor tracking program.

  14. OOPS! My answer above was in response to your whosamungus thread . I made a mistake and posted it here http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/whosamungus?replies=5

Anyway the bottom line is the bottom line. If you cannot follow the instruction for creating a link to your forum and posting it on your wordpress.COM blog we can't help you.

And if you cannot post to the forum at http://wordpress.ORG/support to get help with your wordpress.ORG install then we can't help either.

  15. The reason the Club Penguin site has the smiley is, they're using the WP stats plugin.
