Forums and Registering

  1. I have a wordpress.com blog and I want to allow users to be able to sign up to it, sort of like how you have to sign up for wordpress. Is there any way I can do this? I've gotten comments already by some people but when I look in Users in my control panel there is only me.

Also, is there a free forum hosting site that will allow me to integrate a forum with my wordpress site? Possibly without users having to re-register to the forum?

The blog I need help with is aftershockstudios.wordpress.com.

  2. It depends what you mean by "sign-up". With the blog subscriptions widget, people can enter their email addresses and receive notifications of new posts via email. If you want users to contribute or write posts, you can do that also by inviting the users (http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/).

As for the forum, there really isn't a easy solution to fully integrate it into your blog, as far as I know of. You can make a forum that is fairly customizable at with boardhost (http://boardhost.com/) and put a link to that forum on your blog, but otherwise I don't believe there is a forum option for wordpress.com..... yet.
