Why is it that after buying a domain name everything in my dash board and working area still is under my free wordpress.com domain? I want to add a contact page and it shows automatically my free site name. Will this disappear after awhile? My domain name I purchased is the same as my free blog domain except for one is .com, and the other is wordpress.com..
The blog I need help with is dreamworkswoodshop.com.

Even with a domain mapping upgrade, your dashboard is at __.wordpress.com/wp-admin/. This is normal and does not interfere with the address actually displayed to your visitors.
I want to add a contact page and it shows automatically my free site name.
That's what you see when you are logged in. Log out and you will see what the basic visitor sees: blank fields where they can enter their information.
Will this disappear after awhile?
To change the information linked to your username, including the blog address when you leave comments or feedback on another site, go to Users > Personal Settings > Account details. This will only apply to comments or feedback you leave from now on.

Again, you mention I can change my user name? it won't effect my site?, I just don't want to do something to cancel my paid site. I would like to just use my user name as my site name. instead of dwws03 just have it as dreamworkswoodshop. After I change it shows two bullet options and not sure which to select
