I am new to WordPress. I have the fresh and clean theme on my page. I was wondering if there is a code which would allow the large "featured story" banner to scroll through stories automatically.

Also, is there a way use a video as the "featured image" for a post?

Making a banner scroll automatically is not something that can be done with CSS only. That kind of thing could be done with Javascript, but WordPress.com doesn't allow you to add that particular kind of code directly. If you wanted complete and full control of the code and the ability to add and maintain things like that, you could switch to WordPress.org. Another alternative would be to pick a different theme at WordPress.com that has a slider that already does what you want.

Here are a few that have sliders that advance automatically: Bold News, Currents, Debut, Duet, Forever, Modularity Lite, On Demand.
