Fresh & Clean - iPad viewing issues

  1. Hello there,
I'm noticing that my website isn't looking too great on the iPad - the header is cut off and the menu has squished so it now rolls over two lines instead of one.

I noticed an earlier post where someone had the same header issue with Fresh & Clean, and a staff member said this was fixed, but I'm having the same problem. I'd also like to resolve the menu issue (make the whole list smaller, perhaps, to fit it on one line?).

Is there a way to fix these two issues, or alternatively opt to show a mobile optimised alternative on tablets?

    Thanks,

    Michelle

The blog I need help with is greenhousebangor.wordpress.com.

  3. Thanks a lot - worrying that the link you posted says the theme is retired - it's my go-to theme! Hopefully someone can help.

  4. Retired themes remain active on the blogs that use them, so Staff don't "pull the rug out from under" the bloggers using theme and they are free to choose different themes. Themes are retired because they can no longer support the majority of new WordPress features.

  5. Howdy tygwydr,

The two issues you pointed out are just the way Fresh & Clean handles smaller viewports in general.

The header image is meant to be used as a decorative background rather than a content image like your logo, since it would usually be hidden behind the sites title and tagline. The theme author also decided to let the entire menu be immediately accessible on smaller screens, and not be hidden behind a menu button or similar.

Thank you for reaching out, please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with!

    Konstantin

  6. Hi Konstantin,
Thanks for the advice about this! I've done some trawling through the themes and found a more responsive iPad friendly one (I hope).
