My music blog is oozing with new and original content. I think it should be featured on the Freshly Pressed feature. How can I get Freshly Pressed? Please drop by my blog at http://www.orangecountryreverb.com and see for yourself.

  2. The selections are made by a single editor and everyone else's posts (31 million) are all competing for her attention. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/feature?replies=12#post-484719
I assume how frequently theselections change is up to that editor.

timethief - is there a suggestion box for that editor? FP seems to be strongly skewed towards pretty pictures rather than good content. Also, I've seen instances where people either reblog their own or others' content and get FP'd. FP really should be for original content, no?

Finally, one that FP'd today shows a date of 7/13 for the post. But the comments go back to March. Is it that there was an edit done and the new date was applied? Either way, that's not very "fresh." This is the post I'm talking about - http://fiskeharrison.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/this-photo-is-not-what-it-seems/#comment-2650

  4. There is no suggestion box. It's entirely one editor's preference. And yes, lots of people are reporting old posts; it's just a matter of what catches her eye, not when it was posted.
