from private to public, what is there to do?

  1. After having my blog private for a while, i would like to publish it on the web.
In settings/reading/ i clicked on " Allow search engines to index this site", but it doesnt come out.
Is there something to do more? Thank you

The blog I need help with is maudbenecharchi.wordpress.com.

  2. You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To change blog visibility go to > Settings > Reading. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  3. yes, this is precisely what i 've done.

  4. Thank you,
this is precisely what i 've done.

  5. Thank you. Though, if i google or yahoo the name, i don't find anything : https://www.google.ca/search?q=http://maudbenecharchi.wordpress.com/&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:fr:official&client=firefox-a&gws_rd=cr&ei=BN88UsyjIqPkyQG0nYDYAg

I guess then that all the tags and links i put on the blog wouldn't work neither. I don't understand what's wrong?

  6. Hello, Now i have a problem with the visualisation of the images. It looks like some of the posts only show the name of the files, but not images. How can i fix this? Thank you

  7. re: Google and other search engines
It takes weeks for search engines to index content. What attracts search engines is unique content the cannot in posts that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

The process we use for verifying free hosted WordPress.com blogs with search engines is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don't feel panicky about this please.

WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/

Lastly note that we cannot assist with search engine issues. They are between the blogger and the search engine. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

  8. It looks like some of the posts only show the name of the files, but not images. How can i fix this?

Where are the missing images being hosted?
Did you delete them from your Media Library?
