   I am looking for 3 column WordPress.com theme that will fill the full width on a 1680x1050 widescreen laptop. Most of the themes seem to be about 800 or 900 pixels wide which is like half a screen.

   Does anyone know of any 3 column full-width themes which allow for use of most widgets as well as top and bottom sections? I have tried modofying themes with CSS but not much success on full-width. I would also liek to use percent width instead of pixels so it will fill on wider screens as well (on my iMac) and scale down to 1024 on my other laptop.

   You can use zBench theme, http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/10/27/new-theme-zbench/ with sidebar-content-sidebar option.

   I'll offer this as something to think about. There is a good number of people out there still on 1024px wide systems, which means they would end up seeing only a little over half the width of your blog if you go 1680 wide, and horizontal scrolling is the #3 out of 10 things on the web that annoy people the worst.

   I always thing first of my visitors and what they are using. Here are some stats for you.

   1 1024x768--40.28%
   2 1280x1024 --16.97%
   3 1280x800--16.89%
   4 1440x900--7.71%
   5 1680x1050--4.28%
   6 800x600--4.01%

   Note that 1680 x 1050 is only 4.28% of the people surfing the web while over 40% are on 1024 x 768 resolution?

   As always, your choice.
