As I uploaded photos they became fuzzy. A friend fixed the problem but I can't get a hold of him to find out how, for when I add more. The photos are saved as JPEG; 300 resolution; image size is very small (like, 1x3 inches). My theme is Neat! by Topi Peltonen. The blog is not public yet on the web.
Any suggestions so this doesn't keep happening?

I read the links you provided--thanks. But what is considered a good size or exact dimensions? Didn't find this in the posts or anywhere else.

But here's another stupid question. To activate my blog so it is public online, do I do this through GoDaddy where I got my domain name or is this done in WordPress and how?
(1) Your only communication with go-daddy will be annual renewal of the domain name.
(2) You must change the visibility settings on your blog so search engine spiders can locate it and index the contents. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

I didn't understand a lot of what I read and wasn't sure which blog visibility to pick, and finally decided on "block search engines, but allow normal visitors."
